Dr. Shamsun Nahar vs. Government of Bangladesh & others 4 ADC 580
Sections 20 and 30

Medical Assistant are not entitled to use “Doctor” before his/her name— Appellate Division fails to understand how she claimed to use “Doctor” before her name without being a Medical Graduate from a recognize Medical College/Institute and admittedly she is a Medical Assistant. It is needless to mention here that to get oneself admitted in the Medical College he/she requires to obtain requisite marks in H.S.C. Science Group as fixed by the authority in that respect and he/she is required to complete a course of 5 years duration with internship to become a medical graduate. Therefore, under no stretch of imagination, the petitioner, a Medical Assistant can claim that he is entitled to use “Doctor” before her name. This Division is of the view that the High Court Division upon correct assessment of the materials on record discharged the Rule. .....Dr. Shamsun Nahar =VS= Government of Bangladesh, (Civil), 2023(1) [14 LM (AD) 26] ....View Full Judgment
