Formal accusation of a crime, usually made by the police after
interrogation. The expression ‘charged with’ as applied to a crime is
sometimes used in a limited sense, intending the accusation of a crime
which preceded a formal trial. In a fuller and more accurate sense the
expression includes the responsibility for the crime. Charge includes any

Charge is an interest in company property created in favour of a creditor
to secure the amount owing. Most charges must be registered at the
companies Registry. A charge must contain the particulars as to the time
and place of the alleged offence and these should be reasonably sufficient
