An advocate is a person who by profession pleads for another or conducts a
case in a court of law. He is a person lawfully admitted to practice and
his duty is to advise his client and to act for him in the Court. Advocate
means an advocate entered in the roll under the provisions of this order.

Advocate, used with reference to any proceeding in any Court, means an
advocate or a mukhtar authorized under any law for the time being in force
to practice in any such court and includes any other person appointed with
the permission of the Court to act in such proceeding. ….. ( Section

An Advocate has every right to represent his client and protect his
interests by filing an appeal before the appellate forum, but he cannot,
while the appeal is pending, ascribing something, by publishing a news
report in his capacity as a Court reporter, which is not in the judgment.

Advocates are responsible to the Court for fair and honest conduct of the
case and should exercise great care and caution in drafting and pleading in
court an application which contains allegations reflecting upon the
